My Big Sister

My big sister is a friend of mine,

She loves me through and through;

So when I feel the need to talk,

I call her when I'm blue.

She always has a laugh to share,

With a twinkle in her eyes;

Of all the sisters of the world,

My sister deserves a prize.

Even when I'm a pain in the butt,

Somehow she's still there for me;

I love my big sister, Teresa,

Wonderful and special, a friend of mine is she.

Johnna My Friend

You've been a dear friend for many a year,

And together as friends we've shed not a tear.

And though you are a little bit older,

In good times and sad you have my shoulder.

I know that you're going through a tough time,

You can lean on me 'til you're ready to shine.

You are a beautiful person inside and out,

Of this I want you never to doubt.

And though some man wants to bring you down,

Remember that this man is a pitiful clown.

Men come and go and relationships end,

But more than 38 years you've been my best friend.

Our Seventh Anniversary

Seven years ago today I was your bride,

Since that time we've laughed and we've cried.

On this anniversary I'd like you to know,

That your smile still sets my heart all aglow.

Sometimes I get busy and forget to say,

If love was a meal ours would be declared 'gourmet'.

I realize that I'm not the most perfect wife,

I want you to know you're the love of my life.

So Happy Anniversary sweet husband of mine,

This love that we share is truly divine.

Debbe, My Big Sister

Debbe, my big sister, we've shared a lot through out the years,

Everything from smiles and frowns to laughter and tears.

And when we viewed things different and we failed to see eye to eye,

Our special bond of sisterly love was one thing I couldn't deny.

Sometimes we butted heads and didn't get along,

Yet after all was said and done; Our Sister Bond - Still Strong.

Through out my life when I get sad - for me you're always there,

I want you to know that of this fact - I am aware.

When we were young; still growing up, I know I was a pain,

And now years later; all grown up, I struggle to explain.

To write in words my feelings and thoughts I'd like to say,

"Much Love and Admiration" is what I must portray.

You're a wonderful big sister and even better friend,

If ever should you need me; I'm there - you can depend.

A Life With No Meaning

Here I sit as loneliness surrounds me,

Consumed in sorrow - no way to break free.

I can't help wondering what is my life's purpose,

Am I meant only to exist in a sea of darkness.

Does anyone else feel the emptiness inside,

All alone in sadness with misery I can't hide.

To wake each day hollow and full of dread,

Feelings of worthlessness deep in my head.

What a sad existence; to just sit in wait,

Of crossing over; my body to cremate.

Totally amazed by my ability to remain calm,

After I'm gone; don't sing for me a psalm.

My next life I hope to not waste,

But live life full, with joy to embrace.
