A Mom Leaving
Editor's Choice
Award
From the moment I wake up until
the time I fall asleep,
My thoughts are of your cancer
and pain, then I begin to weep.
I've been through quite a lot in
my life but nothing can compare,
The thought of you leaving is more than my heart can bear.
You've given so much to the
world, your tender love so rare,
For you to now have cancer is
proof that life's unfair.

I know I'm being selfish by not
wanting you to go,
I want to make more memories
& I have more love to show.
They say God's love is great but
I don't see how that can be,
For Him to take you now shows
that He has no love for me.
* This poem is dedicated to
my precious, loving mother ~
from her rotten kid.

Then Let Me Go
Together we've known pleasure,
and at times endured much pain.
We've lived in the warmth of
sunshine and walked in the chilling rain.
But now we're separated and for
this time apart,
Know that I'm not alone 'cause
you're forever in my heart.
Death always seems so sudden, and
it always is for sure,
But what is often forgotten is
that its not without a cure.
There may be times you miss me,
and I sort of hope you do,
But smile as you think about me
for I'll be waiting here for you.
Now there's many things for you
to do, and lots of ways to grow,
So get busy now and live your
life ~ Go ahead, miss me, but then let me go

Left
Behind
You have now gone on to Summerland,
You are no longer here to hold my hand.
You left me here on this Earthly
plane,
I'm afraid that without you I'll go insane.
Though I know that our paths will
once again cross,
This knowledge doesn't help me deal with your loss.
I guess I'll try to be patient
'til it's my time to go,
When my Earthly existence is no more than an
echo.
To be no longer bound by a life
full of limits,
Where our time is not measured in hours and minutes.
In
memory of my Mother ~ Who is muched loved and deeply missed.

Anguish
Another day I sit with my heart
full of pain,
Unable to move on in life is
truly a shame.
Trying to cope with a gut
wrenching sorrow,
Totally dreading tonight and
tomorrow.
Hopelessly drowning in a sea of
despair,
No one around with my feelings to
share.
All days and nights are consumed
in grief,
Will my heartache ever show any
sign of relief?
To suffer each day in pain all
alone,
Anguish unlike anything I have
known.

The Betraying Bitch Johnna
I believed we were best friends
for the last forty years,
So your betrayal to me delivered
confusion and tears.
Your timing was great; unlike any
other,
You waited til I was grieving the
loss of my Mother.
Of all of the people that I felt
I could trust,
Avoiding your back stabbing ways
is now a must.
When you showed up just to lie in
court,
I knew right then that as a
friend you fall short.
I thought as a friend that I knew
you quite well,
Then at my lowest point you put
me through hell!

| To Zoe My Friend
You've been a great friend
through thick and through thin,
When I think of our adventures I
can't help but wear a grin.
When other friends weren't - you
were there for me,
A special loving bond we share -
I'm sure you'll agree.
It was you that I could count on
when my life got rough,
For me to now say thank-you just
doesn't seem to be enough.
I know that you're hurting from a
love gone bad,
To see you crying tears makes me
feel really sad.
So when your pain is great and
you feel that you can't endure,
Know that I'll be your friend til
the end - of this you can be sure.
