Its Our Anniversary of ten loving years,

Together we've shared both laughter & tears.

Our marriage I've always thought to be quite good,

Even though I don't say so as often as I should.

Know that I love you with all of my heart,

Though most of the time you sit around & fart.

Our years together can't be called a fairy tale,

Yet some how we always manage to prevail.

Together so far it's been a decade,

A life of love that I wouldn't trade.

My new little puppy has Lucy for her name,

A special friend to me is what I proclaim.

Playful & fun; a little awkward at first,

She bounces around 'til she works up a thirst.

First eat & then play is what she must do,

After that its time to snuggle with you.

When I call out her name she fiercely wags her tail,

This sweet little girl really makes my heart swell.

Adopting a puppy is truly a great thing,

Providing a joy that will make your heart sing.

I have a sister that does things she shouldn't,

Hateful things that I felt she wouldn't.

Not knowing that Teresa was a self centered lout,

I had not a clue how our relationship would turn out.

Years and years of coming for free lunch,

Of her betraying ways I didn't have a hunch.

I guess I was desperate for a sister and a friend,

Her malevolent ways I simply can't defend.

I wish that in life I had been better schooled,

Then maybe I wouldn't be the one who was fooled.

I have a new puppy and I really love her too,

But no matter what she does she could never be you.

I've been struggling to go on; my life to regain,

I have to give her credit; she helps to ease my pain.

Since you've crossed over I have felt the need to hide,

I'm hoping she will help to fill the hollowness inside.

I look forward to the time when it is you I get to see,

I know when that time comes you'll be waiting for me.

With every day that passes I love her more and more,

And even though this is so - its you I still adore.

Things sometimes go bump in the night,

Nearly always produce a terrible fright.

Hearing voices - Is your mind playing a trick,

It's enough to make your stomach feel sick.

I bought a ouija board that's never been used,

I'm just too scared to try it - Are you amused?

The idea of talking to ghosts really intrigues me a lot,

But interacting with one tends to make me distraught.

When you're alone in the dark and see a ghost,

Make sure to become a most gracious host.

It's the same old thing day in and day out,

Doing your chores - always hurrying about.

Seems no one ever stops to do a good deed,

No kind word whispered or filling someone's need.

Throughout your life many will claim to be friend,

One of life's hard lessons when you learn it's pretend.

Why should you bother or put forth the effort,

When your only reward is a big mess of hurt.
