Poetry - 4:

The Mystical, Magical Moon

The magical, mystical, wonderful Moon

Lights the night sky with a silvery boon

The subject of legend --- the scorn of the church

She watches the Earth from Her heavenly perch

And bathing us all with Her beauty and grace

She beckons us forward into Her embrace

For we are Her children --- yes, She rules the tides

That flow through our bodies and swell and subside

Giving courage to lovers and quickening the heart

And ruling emotions of various sorts

With whispers of magic and all in involves

Bringing personal puzzles and riddles to solve

For She is the Maiden, our Mother, the Crone

With Her joy, care, and comfort, we're never alone

And with every lunation that comes and that goes

Our love for the Moon only surges and grows

The Perfect Man

The perfect man is gentle, Never cruel or mean;

He has a beautiful smile and he keeps his face so clean.

The perfect man likes children and will raise them by your side;

He'll be a darn good father, A husband to gaze on with pride.

The perfect man loves cooking, He'll clean and vacuum too;

He'll do anything in his power to show his love for you.

The perfect man's a sweetheart, He makes poetry of your name;

He's a best friend to your mother and He'll kiss away your pain.

He'd rather die than make you cry or hurt you in any way;

Oh stop this stupid poem ~ The perfect man is gay!

Serenity Prayer

God grant me the Serenity

to accept the things

that I cannot change.

Courage to change

the things I can

and the Wisdom to

know the difference

--- Reinhold Neibuhr

Elementary Concoction

A drop of that essential oil ---

Breath of life with which we toil

A grain of sand, a world complete

Within the bottle these do meet.

A spark, a flame, the Muses light

Upon the dark face of the night

A sip, to some, the waters clear

And these, so, too, assemble here.

Within the hazes, from the mists

Gloaming's spawn and Dew's kissed

Bright Ev'n Star and rising Sun

Come one, come all and join the fun.

--- Merry

Embracing the Sun

He ends the night and heralds the day

He wakes us up for work and play

He stirs the seed deep in the Earth

And sends it sprouting through Her girth

He rules our months, our seasons, and days

And with His fire, He lights our way

He brings us joy and warms our hearts

He promises a brand new start

He doles out doses of Vitamin D

To increase our calcium absorbency

He brings us air and stirs the tides

And all the while, through the sky He rides

Without a cross word or a single objection

Do you know who He is? Have you made the connection?

He is none other than the glorious Sun

Who only finds rest when our day is done.
